The UAE trademark office has recently waived the publication in newspaper requirement of trademark applications, renewals, assignments, and other trademark services. In light of this waiver, publication will be restricted to the official gazette and will no longer be published in newspapers. Henceforth, the waiver of such requirement will be reflected to the cost of trademark services, as the total fees will be reduced by the amount used to be paid for publication in the newspapers.
